Interaction
Our solutions support interaction between people.
Communication is a fundamental perequisite for successful collaboration between people. A carefully designed communication framework, designed specifically for the intended users and use-contexts, constitute an essential platform for the establishment of the shared understanding that underlie all human collaboration.
We believe that IT systems exist to support people, and several of our projects have focus on human interaction as a key characteristic. Examples include "Mitii", specifically developed to support interaction between a therapist and a handicapped child, and "The Circle" which supports long-term ill children's contact with their teachers and friends at school.
At present we are also developing "Designhub", an advanced communication platform designed to support interaction and facilitate collaboration between producers, designers and retailers in the clothing industry. Managing production of an entire range of new designs for every season, is a very complex task with many different people and interests involved at different stages of the process.
Context
The holistic philosophy is reflected in context-focused projects.
At Headfitted we think holistically, and constant sparring and collaboration with our customers is one of our top priorities. This close collaboration requires a constant focus on "hands on" visibility in the development process, combined with an openness to change perspectives and decisions. Through this process we constantly learn more about the system context, while customers and users gradually get more aware of their needs.
A distinguished example of this kind of development, where integration and teamwork is a core element, is the project ONE Business Bay. In this project our strength was manifested in creating whole experiences for the users and visitors in a large office buliding. Experience design was developed along with design of the technical systems integration to fit the existing implementation of building and achitecture.
Social Innovation
We take on responsibility in the world we live in.
Responsibility is not a business strategy - it is a social obligation. Our aim is to design and develop our everyday workflow and actions, as well as our business strategy, to be saturated with a deep care for life and the living.
Some specific activities aimed at meeting our general social responsibilites include:
- We readily develop software solutions and consultancy services for charity organisations at cost price. This means that charity organisations are able to acquire systems, and get objective services reviews, at an absolute minimum prize. This helps to ensure that as many funds as possible can be channeled to those in need.
- We support new and innovative developments in the public sector, with specific focus on making better requirements specifications, through use driven innovation, iterative and fail fast prototyping in the initiating project phases. Developing this method in the public sector will cause profound efficiency improvements and large savings.
- We donate a percentage of our turn-over to charity organisations like "Børns Vilkår", which is a Danish private humanitarian organisation that works to ensure childrens right to have a good childhood and a good life.
